Sally Mann's "Popcycle Drips" a photo featuring her son Emmet with a bare torso and popcycle dripping and clearly showing his male genitalia. This is perhaps her most controversial photo in this series. Many critics were not sure what to make of it. They asked "How did he get popcycle drips in that particular area?" Some even wondered what was dripping and thought at first look it could be feces.
As most photographers are influenced by another photographer it appears by the near exact pose of Emmet's torso that it was inspired by an early American photographer Edward Weston's photograph taken in 1925.
